All 41 candidates from ArcelorMittal Liberia's high school in Yekepa, Nimba County, passed the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, repeating last year's perfect result.

All 41 candidates from ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) High School in Yekepa, Nimba County, passed the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), giving the school a 100 percent pass rate for the second consecutive year, FrontPageAfrica reported.

Charlesetta Harris Peters, AML's Head of Social Services, credited the result to a collective effort by students, teachers, school leadership and parents. "This outstanding performance demonstrates AML's continued commitment to providing quality education for the dependents of its employees and children from surrounding communities," she said, adding that it reflected "discipline and determination from the students, supported by careful preparation, consistent classroom instruction, effective school leadership, and encouragement from parents and guardians."

The school, which serves children of ArcelorMittal Liberia employees as well as students from surrounding communities in Nimba County, has benefited from company investment in teacher professional development, administrative capacity-building and learning resources, according to the report.

Peters said the graduating class is "better positioned to pursue university education, technical and vocational training, entrepreneurship, or other career-development opportunities."
