Unconfirmed reports suggest expelled lawmaker Yekeh Kolubah may be seeking to mend fences with President Boakai, though neither camp has confirmed a meeting and the Executive Mansion has stayed silent.

Speculation is building in Monrovia political circles that expelled lawmaker Yekeh Kolubah may be moving toward reconciliation with President Joseph Boakai, after Kolubah's own PR officer, Samson Moseray, said his client wants to "mend fences and put Liberia first." No press conference, joint statement, meeting date or direct comment from Kolubah has followed, and the Executive Mansion has not confirmed anything.

The rumor is notable mainly for the history behind it. Kolubah campaigned for Boakai's 2023 election victory before becoming one of the administration's most vocal critics, and he was later expelled from the House of Representatives over remarks suggesting disputed Liberia-Guinea border territory belonged to Guinea, a case that remains pending before the Supreme Court. He had previously invoked his late mother when swearing off any future reconciliation with the president, making the current whispers a notable reversal if they prove true.

Political observers point to the conspicuous silence from opposition figures as one reason the rumor has gained traction, alongside speculation that Kolubah's unresolved legal status before the Supreme Court could be a transactional motive for seeking détente. Their earlier alliance makes some form of reconciliation plausible in theory, but with no confirmation from either side, the story for now remains squarely in the category of Monrovia rumor rather than confirmed political realignment.
